01 / PROTOCOL

Sound that blows your mind, simple, and honest.

DIR·01

Spatial & experimental

Movement, distance, orbits, textures that fill the field. Sonic space, pushed to the impossible.

DIR·02

A single screen

Complex processing inside, few knobs outside, and a living visual that shows you exactly what you're hearing. No hidden menus.

DIR·03

Backed by physics

Real Doppler, HRTF, physical reverberation. Genuine pro sound — and no selling you a "3D" that doesn't exist. Movement you feel, not smoke.

DIR·04

Free & open

The whole catalog, free and open-source. The tools we actually use, for everyone.

02 / MODULES

A family of instruments for outer space.

MOD·00 / PRIMARY SIGNAL Free

ORBIT

Binaural spatial movement. The deep engine the whole family is born from.

MOD·01 / MOVEMENTFree

PULSAR

Auto-pan with chaotic orbits and real Doppler. The movement obeys physics, not an LFO.

MOD·02 / SPACEFree

NEBULA

Reverb that breathes: impossible, infinite spaces.

MOD·03 / MOVEMENTFree

DUST

Binaural echoes: scatter reflections of your sound as bubbles orbiting the head.

MOD·04 / SPACEFree

HALO

Shimmer: an infinite celestial choir climbing octaves.

MOD·05 / SPECTRALFree

HORIZON

Spectral freeze with a pulse: hold an instant, then gate it to the beat — pad to stutter.

MOD·06 / SPECTRALFree

AURORA

Spectral panning: every frequency to its own place in the field. Real width, mono-safe.

03 / TRANSMISSION

Who's behind OVNI?

Behind OVNI there's a producer and engineer obsessed with the space and movement of sound. No smoke, no influencer: just tools we actually use in real sessions, made by ear and backed by physics.

"If you know, you know."
04 / FAQ

What people ask.

What is OVNI Audio?

OVNI Audio is an indie label of spatial and creative audio effect plugins. The whole family — including the flagship, ORBIT — is free and open-source. Philosophy: simple interface, pro sound backed by real physics.

Are the plugins free?

Yes. The whole family (PULSAR, NEBULA, DUST, HALO, HORIZON, AURORA) is free and open-source. ORBIT, the binaural spatial movement engine, is free and open-source too.

Which formats and systems do they run on?

VST3 and AU on macOS; VST3 on Windows. Compatible with Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Studio One, Reaper and most DAWs.

What is a spatial or binaural movement plugin?

An effect that moves sound through 3D space around the listener using psychoacoustics (HRTF, ITD/ILD, Doppler effect). It creates a sense of movement, distance and immersion, especially on headphones.

What is the best free plugin for space and movement?

For movement, PULSAR (auto-pan with chaotic orbits and real Doppler). For space, NEBULA (infinite reverb). For width, AURORA (spectral panning). All free, from OVNI Audio.
